Default Pull to the LEFT

I have an issue with my 77, as you are braking it pulls to the left,,,,, the faster you are going and you brake the harder it pulls to the left.
Also I have to steer a little bit to the right to compensate to go straight. but I think is two different issues, can some tell me what could it be.
Thanks
Ray

The flexible rubber brake line going to the right front wheel is blocked up. Open the bleeder valve on the caliper and see if any fluid comes out when you step on the brake pedal

Bet money on the flex hose on the right front. It will get worse if so. Easy job, cheap parts, do all four.

I had the same symptoms. My problem hose came from the rear.

I agree. And at some point when that hose is completed plugged up the pads will seize on the rotor. Makes for a nice smoke display.

I had the same problem and new control arm bushing solved my problem. Got a 4 wheel alignment and it is like she is on rails now.

I have the same issue on a 74. After alignment at 2 different shops, neither one could eliminate a slight pull to the left. The 2nd shop was able to get it a shave better but it is still pulling a bit. i take that back it has been to 3 different alignment shops now. They all complain about how difficult it is to get these year Vettes all 4 wheels aligned. Hmmm..

If your pull is when braking as described by the OP, an alignment isn't going to fix it. Chances are it is a hose, or though less likely, a caliper.

Recently, my 73 pulled to the right as I was braking. Turned out to be a leaking left caliper. Replaced both (they were original) and it solved the problem.

My '73 does the same thing. I has all new o-ring calipers, new hoses and freshly turned rotors. It did it before the brake changes much more pronounced. I'm wondering if there is something loose in the front end. Also has rebuilt steering box, new rag joint, repacked wheel bearings and new idler arm. But tires are not worn out yet very old. So my thoughts are it's time for the 17" wheels and new tires.

My 77 did this. it pulled to the right. I realized that the "chrome" master cylinder brake cover I put on, didn't seal so tight against the rubber gasket. Allowing air to seep into the system. So now I use two gaskets. On one I carefully cut out the center parts for front/rear compartments. And left the outside edges and center in place.
