The "derby" cap was used model wide starting in 1968, and continued for several years after.
The smaller "67 only" cap was also used model wide and came in two flavors. "Chevrolet Motor Division" was engraved in the cap for cars with drum brakes (ie, full size cars with Rally wheels) and "Chevrolet Motor Division Disc Brakes" was engraved in the cap for cars with disc brakes (Camaro, Chevelle, full size with disc brakes, Corvette, etc...).
