Default Did I wire my starter right

I removed my starter on my 74 and forgot where the wires go been researching here and wired like this
Biger red wire torwards block
2 black wires to middle big lug
Smaller red wire torwards fender

the small blk wire is heater blower ground, looks like the pos side coil wire is on the switch side, swicth side should be purple, does it work

I haven't tried to start it as I'm still putting stuff together
So should the small black go to a ground ??

The bigger wire does go to the terminal close to the motor and the slightly smaller one goes to the "run" or R terminal closest to the fender. Some of the high torque starters don't even use this wire as it is just for extra power to the coil during starting. The terminal closest to the motor should be marked S for "start" and activates the starter but you have the wiring correct.

not with the ground wire on the large solenoid connect, so the wiring is not correct!

Your RED should be purple and connects to the small terminal closest to the block.
The cloth covered wire connects to the small terminal closest to the fender.
The small black is a ground for the wiper and blower motor and connects to the bellhousing.
