Default Question About Catalytic Converter...Pic

I want to replace the original catalytic converter on my "81" and want to hook up the smog pump tubing connection. After doing some searching, it doesnt look like the fitting is correct on the new ones. I want to keep the smog pump while it is functional and correct for the car. Does anyone sell these converters with the factory correct fittings?

Many vendors do sell the correct converter for your 81. Just checked MidAmerica and they have it.

Thanks, but I still dont understand how the smog pump fitting is reconnected to the new converter. Do I just cut the one off of the old converter and weld to the new one?
