Default 69 leaf

Okay I have some questions that I need help understanding.
1. received a 9 leaf spring from Vansteel, car came with a 7 leaf spring.
is 7 leaf the F41 suspension?
2. Is there supposed to be a rear sway bar, or did some s/b's come with f41 suspension and no sway bar?
confused please help
Ps Vansteel has offered to exchange with nor problem.
THANKS

The F-41 suspension was a 7 leaf spring. What year is your car? If it is an early C3, only big blocks had a rear sway bar. The rear sway bar became a F-41 item in the late 70's Corvette.

Oh thanks allot for that info, the new trailer arms that I just finished installing did not have the holes for the sway bar brackets. Car is early 69 and is a SB. Thanks for that info

Hey roadblock 69, I just looked at the old original trailer arms and they had the holes for the sway bar. I guess back then the holes were there just in case ???

I could not verify if the holes were existing on small block cars of that year but, it is possible that the control arms have been replaced, or GM could have simply used what was available. I have an original "74 gymkhana car that I could go out and look at tomorrow. (The gymkhana suspension was nearly the same, just 30lb less on the rear spring rate.) Of interest to note, the springs on F-41 cars were the same regardless of which motor was installed. The difference between the BB cars and the SB cars was limited to sway bars in the early C3.
