Are there easy ways of doing this, or does pounding with hammer :smash: work best. I've made several attempts sticking the screw driver in the fan and turning with knuckle breaking efforts :smash: Nothing moves except the fan blades are bending where the screw driver is locked up against. :cry Please before I go to a larger hammer...are there easier ways to remove the nut??? :seeya Cappy
Yep,
She may have to visit the mechanic too....seems like it's on there real good...Knuckles bloody..using combo-wrench since I don't have socket that big...Wife not talking to me now...says I swear like a pirate...Both dogs siding with the wife....I'm outa here... :seeya Cappy
You could try drilling and then splitting the nut (you will need to replace the nut) Or try some intense heat (might distort the pulley if you are not careful) Those things really get stuck on there pretty good. Impact wrench might be your best shot.
If it's rusty squirt some oil on it and wait 20 min before loosing. As far getting it off I never done it but with it mounted on the car will the belt hold it in place while you loosen it?
