Shift points and RPM
Hello,
I recently acquired a 1979 base coupe. I was told the trans was rebuilt...
This is my first experience with a GM product.
When I let off gas the RPM drops to idle and when I get back in the gas the rpm will go up due the car shifting at ~30mph (1st-2nd) and 45-50 (2nd- 3rd).
Is this normal? I feels very weird to me, especially when cursing through the neighborhood. Like it has a high stall convertor or something. If I floor it and let it shift through all 3 gears its shifts fine.
may be a dumb question, but I'm not looking to break anything at this point.
