Default 1981 electric choke wiring

Wondering if you guys can help with my 81... Just bought it and putting the original Q-jet back on it (fresh from rebuild). I bought the Haynes manual hoping to help with the various electrical connections to it yet I can't find the one I need...the electric choke. I am fearful the previous owner cut the pigtail but rumor has it it's a blue wire from over by the alternator ?? Can you confirm? Maybe even send me a picture of yours so I can do a visual stare and compare ? Thanks for taking the time to respond to this

It is a blue wire that runs behind the alternator. I don't have a picture because that section of my wiring harness is from an 82. Depending on how ambiscious you are you can pull off the firewall connector and trace the wire from there.

Yeah, that really looks like it and it's in the right place. Just splice a new wire onto it.
