I've got new trim panels from Al Knoch ('68), but there not going on at all.
I imagine new door side trim panel clips would help, any other suggestions?
When you say they are not going on, what do you mean? Are they not fitting properly or are they hitting something? I have a 68 coupe and have had my panels off several times, in fact they are off at this time because I have removed both doors from the car and replaced all the mechanical inner workings of the doors. (window regulators, motors, locks, etc.)
There should be a trim screw at each upper corner and an "L" shaped bracket and screw at the lower corner toward the rear of the vehicle. Also, there are several "Velcro" style plastic attachemnts around the outer edge of the door panel that mesh with similar pieces on the door itself.
Make sure you have everything lined up properly. Did they perhaps ship you the wrong year door panels?
I have heard many good things about Al Knoch parts, so I would be surprised if the correct panels don't line up.
