CUSTOM INTERIOR TRIM OPTION (76)
MY FRIEND JUST BOUGHT A 76 VETTE. ALL OF THE BUILD SPECS WE HAVE SEEN SHOW THAT A "CUSTOM INTERIOR TRIM" WAS AVAIL. @$164.00 RETAIL. THERE IS NOT A RPO#. DOES THIS MEAN THAT THIS WAS A DEALER INSTALLED ITEM?? ALSO WHAT WAS IT?? MAYBE THE WOODTRIM AND LOWER CARPET ON THE DOOR PANELS??

I think it is probably the deluxe interior stuff which includes, as you surmised, the "wood" trim and carpeted doors. I don't know what else it may have included.

My '76 has a custom interior that includes Leather Seats (Mine are White, which was a rare option in 76 and 77), along with White Door Panels w/wood grain and carpeted bottoms. Rest of interior including dash and carpet is a very dark brown, but NOT a short **** as was earlier suggested.......Hope this helps ya out....... :D
