See......... On a c-3 Vette site you had us thinking you were in an uncontrollable Vette.

My Vette has never been uncontrollable. But on the other hand my wife went out and bought a new 2002 convertible F-Body FireBird.

You can loop that sorry *** car on slick or wet roads in a heart beat. I have good 255/40 BFG G-Force tires and I have run it around road racing tracks. Solid rear axil cars are a hand full.

So tell us about your c3. I'm a car guy not just a vette guy, I have a 95 camaro with a 700r4 and it don't get traction as well, but my vette has about 200 horse more and will out run it and because of the irs actually gets better traction with my 700r4, not a lot more but better. No sense getting mad or pushing toward provoking your fellow forum members, you might try being a little more clear about the info your relaying, I don't think any of the other members would have had any invalidation toward your f body if they'd known that's what you were talking about to begin with.

Since you asked, my C3 is a 1973 Elkhart Green LS4 TH 400 with A/C,PS, PB, PW, map light, 3.55 posi. It's my first C3, and it needs A TON of work (the frame is rotted beyond belief). My plan is to put a frame under it, a new 4 bolt main forged crank 7/16 rod forged piston 468 in it and either a 2004r or a Muncie...I prefer stick shift, but my '09 is a stick and my wife can't drive it, so it would be nice to build one she could drive. The interior is light saddle, which I don't really care for, so I'm on the fence about changing it to black and installing a tilt/tele column...but I don't want to hurt resale value. Right now it's a numbers matching drivetrain, so if I ever sold the car the original engine and trans would go with it.

I'd look at building a 496".

I have all the parts for a 496, but IF my wife drives it that would be kind of wasted on her. My dream car is a 67 convertible so I'm saving the stroker parts to combine with a Blueprint Engines 4.5" bore block for a 555 to put into a 67 with an Autogear Muncie M22 with (hopefully) a Gear Vendors OD on the back with a 3.90 geared 12 bolt guts stuffed into the 8.2 Vette center section.
