Greetings Gentleman, I have been thinking about making all four tail lights Red, on my 82. But; I like having back-up lights & would like to know with pictures what they used for neat back-up lights, that fit the car nice?? Thanks for all your help. Have a great Thanksgiving, Gene
I recently changed my lights to all reverse lenses with red LED 1157 bulbs and red side light flex strip lights. I needed back-ups and here is what I came up with.
C69vete,
Just wondering why you used the tail light lenses with the clear centers when you added the neat looking backup lights in the license plate? Might look neater if you used the all red brake light lenses instead.

Everybody does the all red lenses. I wanted something different. Plus I got tired of people "guessung" it was a 68 when I had all red lenses.
I asked because I wouldn't think the clear middle lens would be legal for brake lights. It would look like your backup lights were on when you apply the brakes, or like they're on all the time when you have your lights on at night. It wouldn't pass inspection here in New York.

with the all red bulbs in the sockets, when I hit the brakes, all you see is red.
