The 12 bolt conversion dosen't just "bolt in" there is a great amount of work in grinding and clearancing in the housing for the ring gear and machining parts. Toms Differentials sells the parts kits. Forum member Mike Dyer(Tracdogg2) and another member GTR 1999 who no longer posts on this forum have done plenty of these conversions. If your not a skilled machinst, plan on spending north of $5K to get the job done, gear sets are limited to 3.70 and lower3.91, 4.11, 4.33 & 4.56 because higher ratios wont clear the differential case. The ring gear is modified and isn't really a 8.875" dia ring gear when it is machined, yes they are stronger but, for the $$$ going to a "Super 10" is a better deal. The "Super 10" uses the 12 bolt spider gears and cross shaft along with the 30 spline side yokes. The "Super 10" is what I am going to use behind my 550HP LS3 motor swap.
