Default Oil Pressure Sender

Replacing the oil pressure sender. Do I wrap the threads with teflon tape or something else or nothing at all?

Almost all new senders already have a coating on them.. so you just install it as is. You can see it in this picture below. Some have a white coating some red... but they are a sealant. Placing extra tape on the sender would impede the ground to the block and cause incorrect readings in the gauge.

Good info, explains my incorrect gauge reading.

Exactly!

(and it only took an hour for me to figure out why my new sending unit wasn't working because I decided to be safe and wrap the threads with Teflon tape)
