LS headers that should fit now
If you have been following the LS. Header threads you know there is not a good fitting header anywhere at this time. AR has said they have a set made up and they fit well. I need to run the car some and move it around with the headers dragging on everything like the current ones do. Well these headers had cost me about 900 and were complete junk. Did not fit well and dragged on the ground. So today I thought why not cut them up, they are trash any way. So I got out the sawzall and started cutting. Here they are. Plenty of clearance now! These are obviously temporary. Waiting to here from AR to get the new ones. Nothing like cutting up good money.

currently im workin on a 69.
w the mounts I used, I have a 4l80e w a lq9.
I used some old 98-02 fbody headers that lined up perfectly in the bay. no interference on the steering box but is close. im gonna make a heat shield perhaps. no biggie a 3x3 piece of stainless sheetmetal tacked on the tube.
floor clearance is no worse than what it was on the fbody.
however this car w use side exhaust pipes and I cut the collector right about a 1/4 inch after the merge. makin a s shape bend to mate to the side pipes. o2 bungs w b in the s pipe. the clearance is close to the old sbc exhaust.
old headers are fs btw. I will post pics n info in my own thread. I run my own shop and am only one. so I havent updated my thread.
