Valve seal Question?
Do I install both Umbrella and O ring type?
or just Umbrella?
The parts guy told be if you install both the valve would lose lubrication

Original equipment is an "0" ring type seal along with a sheet metal splash shield over the valve spring. Back in the old days a Ford 260/289 umbrella seal was sometimes substituted by some people. I only run viton seals on my build now but the guide has to be the proper size for a viton seal to work, if heads aren't off of car going to machine shop you don't have many options.
