Default Radiator Replacement in '72

OK, the new Be Cool radiator came in the mail today. I had the old one out 5 years ago (had it re-cored but now it is leaking again and I decided to go new and aluminum) and I remember it was a real pain in the butt getting the fan shroud out of the way. That was before I was a CF member and did not have the benefit of your experience and expertise. The car has AC and is a MT. The AIM does not address this problem. Any help/suggestions/directions will be greatly appreciated and may save what is left of my sanity. Thanks Guys an Gals!

It's just one of those "tough" jobs.... I always take the hood off before I even try. Two man job for sure. There is no easy way. :boxing

step 1. get beer
step 2. get friend who likes beer
step 3. begin removal of shroud by taking out all bolts (I've found it helps a little to loosen up the core support bolts as well).
step 4. Remove shroud, wiggle, push, curse, twist, etc. You'll have to work it out a little at a time.
step. 5 drink beer and look forward to installation of shroud.

I just finished doing this......
definitely remove hood
remove lines and hoses
remove top and center bolts from both sides of support
loosen bottom bolts from both sides
tilt frame forward, clamp in place
remove shrouds!!

Once I resigned myself to "taking my time and no short cuts" it all went pretty easy.
