What is the engine out of?
It may or may not have a fuel pump pushrod drilled
Your flexplate youll need one wiht the late model 1 pc rear seal drilled.
Other than that should bolt right up to your trans

The engine is a 400 engine.
So at the most, I need to drille the hole, and a flexplate?
They stopped making 400s in the 70s
Maybe a transplant? Is it throttle body injection carbed or?
Might wanna look for a casting # before going any further on the block, and heads *stamped under the valve cover betweeh the springs* before going further just so you know what youre getting
Chevrolet produced the 400 engine up until 1981. If it is a 400, it will bolt up but, you will have to have the flex plate from the 400 and you may have to use an electric fuel pump. Seriously, I would try to find a motor that was more suited to the car. Be certain that it is not an LS series motor as that would be quite an undertaking.

The 400 engine is carbed today.
It think you are right, I will look for the numbers and get back to you.

Thanks for the input, I agree with you, if it is to much Work, then I think the best is to walk away.
I will look at the engine tomorrow, and find the numbers, so I know 100% what it is.
Here is a Picture of the 400 engine. (The old engine)
Engine numbers is 3951511
OK, there seems to be some confusion here. Is this a picture of the engine that was removed from your Corvette? Or is it the engine you are planning on putting into your Corvette? I understand there may be a bit of a language barrier, but you seem to speak English better than I speak Danish, so we'll go with English.
I need a reply for this ASAP.
Tomorrow I will go out and have a look at a 1997 SBC std engine.
If we buy the engine, then it must fint into a 1969 corvette with TH400 transmission.
But I am not sure if the engine will connect to a TH400, can anyone help me?
And is there anything I have to be aware of?
Thx,
John
yes thats a vortec motor . You can use its flex plate and bolt it up but you will need an intake and a carb for the vortec heads . Otherwise you have to hook up its computer system.

I don't think you'll be able to use an engine driven fuel pump, either. You'll need to convert to an electric fuel pump.

I agree, let's stay with English :-)
The Pictures uploaded today is the old 400 engine, the "new" engine is 1997 350, I will upload Pictures of the 350 tomorrow.
P.S I would gladly teach you to speak/read Danish if you would like to learn :- )
