Tilt/Tele Steering Column

I've purchased a tilt/tele steering column and plan on swapping my unit (regular) for it. Need to change colors (has anyone re-fininshed a steering column? Has anyone changed out a regular steering column for a tilt/steering column for a 72 Convertible?

The refinish is fairly straight forword. Just prep and paint.

The tilts were interchangable from 69-75. Bolt in and plug in.

I used a combo of spray stripper & wire wheel to take the majority of the column housing down to bare metal. Since I tore down & rebuilt it entirely, I used stripper on the parts that I could completely separate & wire wheel for other areas. I then primed it with a few of coats of sandable auto primer (sanded in between coats) then used a couiple of coats of Rustoleum semi-gloss black for the top coat. It came out beautiful!
