This is our standard procedure if the customer wants rotors on their freshly rebuilt trailing arms (rivets are optional, as not everyone wants them). The only reason a rebuilder wouldn't remove runout by machining the rotors would be because they don't have an on-car lathe, and this is probably the same reason that some people are using shims between the spindle and rotor. Checking the runout on the spindle with a dial indicator and making sure it is within tolerance is a must in this process before machining and making the spindle and rotor true to each other. If ever you have a special request regardless of the vendor you're thinking of using, it doesn't hurt to ask if they can fulfill that request.

@Teem66 - I know Bairs Corvette in PA lists this as a procedure. I had them build a pair of offset T/A's for me. Very pleased with the whole process. Stand up people who work there.
