Hello!
After 2 month I started my 1969 L36 (427ci BB) do drive it to another garage. It started great and ran great, but I noticed a strange noice that I never had. Please watch the video. Everytime I actuated the throttle link, you can hear the strange, metal noise (it´s hard to hear because the fan is too loud).
My guess is, that the hydros are not filled up completly after 2 month and so I get the strange noise.
sorry, I tried listening to it but all I could hear was wind noise from the fan blowing on the mic. maybe try recording it from further away or block the fan noise some how.
I heard a little "hissing", but in the foreground of the picture, it looks like there's a vacuum hose disconnected. However, I did pick up a little of what sounded like lifter clatter. Does it go away when the engine is warmed up? (BTW, is this a hydraulic lifter engine?)
Yes correct, the clicking/clatter noise! Do you really mean this is an exhaust leak?
When the engine was cold, it was verry loud. Then it warmed up and it became quietly, but still there.
I never noticed this sound last year.
"Hydraulic lifter engine" - I don´t know Please tell me, it is a stock L36 that was comletly rebuild a few years ago.
