I am going to have to fab a new dash pod for a Auto Meter speedo and tach. I will have the turn signal and other lights to replace in the new pod. My question is where to lights to? Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
You mean where to power the dash lights? I thought it ran through the headlight switch unless you want them on when the car is running then through the ignition switch.
Which gauges are you installing? I installed an Autometer 3 3/8" Digital Speedomter/ Tachometer Combo. There's a couple pictures in this thread I did, post #98 and #117.
Are you talking about the turn signals, for the autometer gauges? You have to fabricate something for them as well. There wan't a place for them on my autometer gauges. I fabricated a small rectangular box and mounted it at the bottom of the driver's dash pad and placed the turn signals, brake, and high beam light.
Not sure what your question is. The harnesses that plug into the back of the original gauge clusters have all the wire connections you would need for a new dash project except a wire for an electric speedometer. Unswitched power, switched power, tach, oil pressure, temperature, fuel, turn signals, high beam indicator, charging indicator etc are all in the existing harnesses.
