Coating lifter valley??
I've read about coating the lifter valley with something called "glyptal" ?? anyone familiar with this product? Where can I get some?
I've also read about using Rustoleum in the lifter valley. Can rustoleum tolerate the hi temp of a BB??
Thanks
Len

One thing Speed-o-motive did do that I liked was coat the lifter valley with somekind of burgandy paint. Cool thing is they wrote my last name in there so you could say it a Lefevre model 383. :jester
Mine is a little darker cooler than that so must be a little different stuff.

another thing Len while your at it is put screens in the return holes so if god forbid anything let go up top the screens would catch it before it makes it to the pan.

I've heard that it also speeds the return of oil to the pan in a racing enviroment.

Thanks Pat. Is there anything for the openings right above the cam in the valley? Those oblong holes?
