Default Big Thanks for WILLCOX!!

Guys,

just a quick note to let people know what great service i got from Willcox.

Some people use this forum to complain, but I thought I'd use it to congratulate them on excellent service.

I had a tach not working properly on my 1978 Pace Car - it had a new board from Ecklers fitted several years ago, but it never worked properly.

Talking to Willcox (Tommy is THE MAN) I sent them pics of the board so they could see if it was oner of theirs - it wasn't.
Eventually, I sent the entire Tach to them (I'm in Oz, so car is off the road!)

They went above and beyond, fitting a new board BUT ALSO it seems the movement was suspect and no amount of "new boards" will fix it.
So they modified their board to ensure the Tach worked perfectly at all RPM's.

Refitted the Tach and it works perfectly.

Thanks heaps Guys!!!

I'm only buying from them now - like A/C compressors (see other thread)

i have a major vendor local to me here in florida , after 25 or more years of patronage ticked me off for the last time . i called Willcox and two days later had a part the other place said wasn't made and a pair of armrests for 50 bucks less than the other guys wanted for armrests. big thumbs up to Willcox. i wish they were going to be at the winter meet.

Thank you

Your issue was a very unusual one to say the least.... The board on your tach is actually my proto-type for the new boards we are designing. The chip movement on this board is way diferent than the older version which will allow for some compensation adjustments the other board won't.

I'm tickled that it worked... and thank you for the kind words.

Willcox.
