I looked for a long time to find the 69 That I have now. I had a real nice 92 (silver) that I traded for it. It was in MN. We swapped pictures and info and made a deal. It was an adventure driving a 32 year old car that I basicly knew nothing about back to Florida. It put a whole new meaning to "stressful". :D :D :jester

okay, now i'm thinking that a matching number car isn't what i should be going for(unless i found one at the right price). What kind of engine would you recommend and how much would it cost?

chew on this. I got my 69 smallblock coupe in early summer of 00. payed 8500 for it.. with the orig engine and drivetrain. so it was a 350-300 horse with an auto. but it was still cool. i pulled the 350 out and popped in a 327 out of a camaro (had it built for the car) and now I'm knockin on the 12 second door. and this is with stock heads. 20 mpg and 89 octane (cruising) 93 (race)

wow that sounds like the ideal scenario. If i could get a 69- roadster for under 10 and do just what you did.. would be awesome.
Roadster's will run a lot higher dollar than coupes. Much more rare, ect. But good luck! Make sure to keep watching the C3's For Sale section of this forum...always new advertisments...
