Default 78 Pace car Decal install

I have decided to put some of the original Pace car decals on. (Limited Edition and rear Indy Decals) Since I can’t get the reproductions without buying the whole set.

I have never put a decal on and was wondering if anyone had any printed information for surface prep and installation location.

If I show this car will the judges check exact location?

I saw this item (eBay link below) but it’s gone. Does anyone have this info?

I also am looking for a 78 Assembly manual if anyone has one of those.

Thanks,
Dave

Don't know too much about what the judges will be looking for... but you can pick up an assembly manual from a variety of vendors... Ecklers, Zip, Corvette Central etc.... about $24.00 with the hard cover.

Don't know where they go, but to get them installed right, fill a spray bottle with soapy water and spray the area real well with it. Line up the decal, floating it on the soapy water. Use a hard 3" wide squeegee, working from the center outward to stick the decal to the car. Work the air bubbles to the edges, or if necessary, pop with a pin.
