Default Stainless Exhaust

Trying to find Stainless headers and side pipes for a 73, will go on a 383 stroker small block. Any suggestions? Seems that XS has them for big blocks, but not yet for small blocks. Thanks for the help.

XS has a nice set of stainless headers for the small block .. I just got a set and they are very well made with a thick flange ,1 7/8 primary tubes to 4 inch collector to a 3 inch out let .

Go here .........for just headers ............... http://www.shop.huronspeedproducts.c...rs-c2c3hug.htm

Why not do the whole exhaust in stainless steel? Cost prohibitive? Hard to work with? Not trying to be a wisea$$, I'm actually interested.

BTW, not trying to call you out or anything, but the OP is looking for side exhaust, does XS offer anything like that?

For my system not being stainless , a few reasons. the car never sees rain or snow and I doubt i will deal with replacing it anytime soon. and no one can see it so why use it.

And cost is also an issue you say corvette and companies naturally expect you to bend over lol.. But on this mod I am under 600 for 1 7/8 stainless headers and a complete 3 inch x pipe system. And then I will have beefed up the entire drive train and exhaust so it is ready for a sbc 427 next season.

Thanks for the info Diehrd! I looked at the Huron site you shared, looks like XS stainless headers and sidepipe. Price listed at $875 for the package. That looks hard to beat. This forum is so helpful, thanks again everyone.

Default Stainless

I went to the Huron site, they had what looks like stainless Headers and Side pipes for $875. I will do a bit more homework, but that might be the one for me.

Try Allens stainless exhaust...or, I would suggest getting the whole system from one company so as to match the headers to the sidepipes.... [that Allens has} otherwise ground clearance and fit could be a huge problem especially with two or more different brands compatibility......

but whatever

I put a complete StainlessWorks SS header, exhaust muffler system
on my daughter's 72 and had them coated. Not cheap, but high quality.

Ordered my OBX stainless headers and baffled sidepipes last year from Sparktec and Danny Wong for 725 to include shipping for my 80 L82. I have absolutely no complaints or issues. This was the best purchase, smiles per mile, sight and sound exhilaration, indescribable in words. info@sparktecmotorsports.com
