HI,
I am replacing my L82 with a zz4 motor & at the same time I want to upgrade to a six speed tranny is it possible to Install a TR6060?
If so what is in involved? has anyone done this swap, any pictures would be a real bonus. Thanks for your help in advance.

I have one behind a LS truck block. I did a considerable amount of fabrication to make it work. Most people would consider a T56 as a better and easier swap. You will not find a "kit", and would need to complete a number of modifications to make it work.
THE GOOD: The TR6060 is the next generation of the T56, handles more torque, improved internals, and a pump for cooling the fluid.
THE BAD: As-is, the shifter is remote and suspended from the floor pan. As-is, the mainshaft output does not use a slip yoke, but a three finger flange to a flex joint to the Camaro two piece drive shaft.
There are workarounds for the above, plus using it on a small block instead of a LS means additional work to match things up. For the aftermarket the T56 Magnum was developed and is a TR6060 with the tail housing and mainshaft changed to allow a slip yoke. This may be a better unit for you.
Here is the TR6060
Many thanks for the information & what you have said I think I will go for the TR56 or if I can get one the Magnum. Thanks for the info & this has to be the best corvette forum on the net.
