Those are the neutral safety and back up lamp switches. If you're not going to have any type of neutral safety switch with the 6 speed, the 2 purple wires need to hooked/jumpered to each other or your car won't start.
If the 6 speed has a back up lamp switch run the pink and green wires to the switch.
