Oil Change
I have a 1979 L82 with about 18,000 miles on it and everything is original but the tires, battery, and oil filter. The car sat for quite some time and apparently the seals had deteriorated and used to smoke a little when first started. I used some additives and does not hardly use any oil at all anymore. My question is, what is the best oil to use when I change my oil. Im going to tune her up shortly and get rid of the original plugs, belts, hoses, etc. Thanks..LT

Nearly every person will give you a different answer to that. It is all a matter of opinion. I used Valvoline Durablend in mine. Also, Valvoline now make something called MaxLife. It is supposed to be used in vehicles with 75,000 miles in order to refresh the seals. This might work for you since you think the seals are worn.
