Default L82 Cam

My 72 Corvette had an L82 cam installed when the previous owner had the stock 350 rebuilt. It runs great and sounds great too. Any idea what the horsepower is? The engine was not bored, just honed and had hardened valve seats installed.
Thanks for any input.

No idea whatsoever. Put it on a chassis dyno (or run it at a dragstrip and compare the mph to the particulars on your car) and get a real answer. There are far too many variables to make any kind of WAG. The L82 cam is a nice improvement over the base cam, though.

Let's see......somewhere between what a stock L48 would make, and what a stock L82 would make.

Actually, from going to car shows and talking to people about how much horsepower they think their SBC makes, I'd say about 500 horsepower.

Seriously, though, too many variables to even take a guess, man, sorry.

Have it dynoed. The 80 L-82s (last year they were available) were supposed to be 230 net hp.

The engine is in the car so the flywheel horsepower will still be just an approximation.
