H D Yoke Cap Conversion

It seems like the post said you had to drill the existing holes out to a larger size and then used an upgraded bolt and cap to retain the U-joint.
I need to attend to some small details like this before I start putting in the 6 link and OST-arms.
I used the search feature and couldn't locate the post, Anyone remember who had the kit ?
Thanks Jim :seeya

I'm glad you stood up and confessed to this posting.
I had thought someone had posted this and couldn't find it with the search feature. This is very interesting to me for my rear suspension upgrade.
BTW was it really worth it? It sure does look like it ! Thanks JIM :yesnod:
Was it worth it? I think so. The original u-joint straps are just cheap stamped out parts and the bolts weren't much better, they do their job on a stock car but with a higher HP motor I wanted any insurance I could get. I've seen a couple half shafts where the straps were just torn right off. These steel blocks should hold well. If you order a set tell Art I told you to call, he's a great guy to deal with. Right now I only have these on my half shafts but soon I'm putting them on the driveshaft as well.

I'll ask him about them then. I am using the '82 Yokes and half-shafts I hope he makes them for it.
As for the Drive shaft. I was asking in another post about a rear yoke to use the 1350 U-joint and was directed to Denny's Driveshafts for a large rear yoke to go on the Dana 44. I have a Mark Williams Quick Detach 31 Spline C-6 front Yoke ordered to fit the TKO. The TKO front yoke has this type of retainer already. So I would like to follow through on the rear yoke as well.
I agree with you on the straps. They ain't much, I like this set up for the half-shafts much better.
I am also looking at a set of bolt-on drive flanges from Tom's. I'll have to call and see how they work exactly. I may only need 1/2 of a set to do the inside caps for the yokes.
Thanks again JIM
