you wouldn't be the first.there are other brands too. but headers and a good dual exhaust will help your car in ways you can only imagine. probably the best bang for the buck.
when you get that done have the advance set in the distributor and richen the carb. BIG improvement.

Hooker claims their headers have equal length primary tubes. Some other brands don't. How important is it to have equal length primaries is open to question on less than all out engines. Practically any header will be much freer flowing than rams horn manifolds.
I have Hooker Super Comps - they are fine for me.

I've got a set of ceramic coated Hooker Competition headers on my '81. They fit very well and I've had no problems with leaks. They make an exhaust system that matches up to the headers and fits the Corvettes. I went ahead and installed that also. The mufflers are pretty quiet but I'm very happy with the headers and the system fit.

I am a huge Hooker fan and have been for decades. I currently run Hooker long tube side headers with the Hooker collector and baffle.

I am very very pleased.

To be honest, there are many other good header systems out there. Seems to me that most of these are copies or based upon original Hooker. Some things are difficult to improve upon.

Hooker has been in business refining their designs for a long time.

Just put a set of Hooker's on last week, absolutely no fitment issues. It's a good idea to make sure engine mounts and body mounts are in good shape before installing any headers. Name: 014.jpg

This car looks awesome!

It looks to be a cream color on my computer that is totally tough.

I also like the stinger like hood scoop. Leaving it black really sets it off.
