I picked up a set of polished Torque Thrust II's, and prefer the classic gray centers. Has anyone painted theirs or know a paint that is close to the magnesium color?

This looks like this might work. I have not painted polished wheels. There are many other paints out there. It is all in the preparation.
Honestly I just used Krylon paint. I prepped the wheel by scuffing the spokes and then cleaned them with prep sol. Tapping took a long time but it was worth it. After a couple of years i have a few minor chips that are barely visible.
I have used duplicolor wheel paint, once on a daily drivers wheels and the slots on the C3 wheels. I used graphite it has a metallic look to it looks better than black but then I,m partial to my own choices.
Just tonight I found a 2 step paint that turns chrome into black chrome. It's made by Dupli-Color and is called Shadow. I plan to try it on the exhaust tips for my Z06. Probably not what you're looking for but I thought I'd mention it.

I think every set of magnesium wheels I look at the color seems different. I can't make up my mind if gray or bronze is what they should look like. Dupil-color does have both. I think it's matter of personal taste. A while back Hot Rod had a Plymouth that Pure Vision did a make over on and they used bronze. I thought it made a set of billet wheels look period correct.
