80 model- no radio or door locks working ...

recently the radio just stopped. The power antenna doesnt rise (i know its good) and the radio doesnt play. I can , at some times, hear an audible scratch for 1 second when i turn the radio on. Nothing else.
The fuse is good.
also, the electric door locks only work while going to 'lock' and will not 'unlock'.
These 'could' just need a greasing , but I'm wondering now if theyre connected to the radio problem ?
Your thoughts ?
Any electrical experts in here ? Radio experts ? Your experience with these problems ? anyone ?
thanks.

As mentioned in another thread I had the same problem with the door locks on TWO of my vettes. Was simply a matter of scraping the green corrosion off of the "studs" on the back of the lock switches. Remove the door panels, unplug the lock harness from the switch and see how they look.
Radio problem just sounds coincidental. Fuses are good, might just be a bad radio. If the antenna doesn't go up and it did before the problem with the radio, try jumping the antenna at the relay. Jumper the yellow wire with a hot wire directly from the battery, see if it goes up. if it does, it should go down when you remove the jumper wire as it actually gets its power through the orange wire.
If that works, probably bad radio or radio switch as the yellow wire first goes to the radio for radio power and is then switched inside the radio to power up the antenna.

I know the door locks will need tending to & I thought the switches would need cleaning. I will attempt that first.
I had no info on radio troubleshooting, and your ideas are what I was looking for.
Again, thanks for the help. I will approach it this weekend as you outlined.
