I'll be needing that method in a couple weeks!

(by then, I will think that it was my OWN idea...... )

Here are the pics of the hole saw idea and my POR15 results on the arms. First coat only
I don't know if anyone else has tried the hole saw for the rubber bushings but man that was easy, quick and no nasty smoke.

I have the same problem with height, my car is setting at 28 3/4" an 29 1/4 on lf and rf and 29" rear. I loosened the control arm bolts to see if the suspension would settle and it did not. I am not sure of the springs in the front and all i know about the rear is that it is a composite mono spring. Tired of the 4x4 look I might cut a coil from the front.

My front looked great, rear was a little high. What tire/rim combo do you have? I am pushing substantial HP so I need to watch rear end squat when she hooks up If I don't I will be rubbing on the tire. With the new front springs I did appear to go up 1/2 inch which I will be ok with just because I have the daytona front which is too low for our roads here in Alaska. For looks I much prefer to have the tire filling the well but it is was it is. The HP puts a smile on my face.

Believe it or not cutting the springs with a hacksaw wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be and the Diablo sazall blades at home depot that are rated for up to 1/2 in steel are better than the reg ones but didnt last worth the $3 a blade.

I put it back together but havent loosened the control arm bolts to see how much it settles ill report tomorrow the final results.

Gotta love power tools. Should have mine on the ground today. It's funny the more you do the more you think about doing. As I was cleaning up the frame with a wire wheel I was thinking, I wonder how hard it is to take the body off. The previous owner used paint on the frame when he did the restore and it has peeled. I quickly rejected the idea. The fact I thought it is disturbing enough.

just ordered the 550 front springs and hardware to mount the 360 composite rear spring. bilstien shocks are on back order so VBP gave me a deal on QA-1 shocks i couldn't refuse (super people) I'm going to have to cut a bit of the spring, when i went to aluminum heads and other stuff my wheel well now sits at 29 " in front. did you cut a full coil?

I did not cut any....yet...KacyC3 did and it gave him the desired result. I am not sure I will just because my front spoiler sits so low. Jury is still out for me

Yeah our roads here in Ak have some interesting variances in surface structure. Even some of the curb cuts create issues. Mine is at that 30 inch mark and I'm not liking the look. Going to live with it this summer and maybe cut a coil this winter. If i do I will also never be able to get a floor jack under the cross member. At least one a low profile one makes it.

Something is not right in my car, the uninstalled height of my springs was 13.6 in before i cut them, after it was 12 in. Not sure how that is possible but it is what it is for now.
