Default Oil pan problem, the mechanic says

The mechanic just called and said he took my oil pan off while fixing the car and the pan was patched at one point with silicone and now has a small pin sized hole in it. He said he can either weld a new patch on or get a new oil pan. I'm leaning towards a new oil pan. What kind should i get?

The hole that was patched was because it has rotted thru in that area, get a new pan, I have the same problem

would any 350 gm oil pan work or does the L-82 have a different one? I doubt there will be any stock anywhere in the city and i'm kind of in a rush to get it back on.
