68 Starter Wiring
I have something funny going on at my starter. According to the wiring diagram you have a purple solenoid wire, yellow solenoid wire, a brown fusible link hot wire, the battery cable, and then the black ground from the windshield wiper motor. I connected the battery cable and brown power wire to the main terminal solenoid wires and connected the black ground to the ground cable to frame and the car would not start. I connected the black ground to the main terminal and it will start. With the black wire connected and the brown fusible link disconnected it starts also? Trying to figure out why it will not start when wired per the diagram and connected a ground to the positive terminal makes it start. The wiper motor is disconnected right now and will be getting it connected up and tested soon.
