Default 1974 Convertible body mount question?

Looks like we may have ordered the wrong body mount kit for our 74 convertible It now appears that the body mount for the convertible is different than the coupe. The holes in the vert' are 1.060"in diameter, the coupe's are 1.170",

Can we open the holes up to the mount size we have(concerned about height and fit)? Or should we send this kit back and get the proper kit?

Thanks,

On the '74 convertibles, the bushing pairs on the #2 and #3 mounts were slightly different (softer, I think) than the #1 and #4, and were painted white from the factory. As far as I know, all the replacement bushings available today are all the #1 and #4 type.
Since the bushings are rubber, I don't think the small difference in the hole diameters are significant. Pretty sure they'll fit.

Send back and do it right with the right parts. If you are replacing body mounts, waiting a week for the right part probably isn't going to set you back in terms of time. Probably many other things you can do while you are waiting.
