Steering problem
I had to replace my 74's ignition cylinder and used the fork to remove the shaft lock and canceling cam from my TT column, no problem except the shaft slid out to its stop point and the fork was too far to reach the shaft lock so I used a couple bolts as spacers (guess I should have locked the tele down before I started). I got the cylinder replaced and was starting to reassemble except the shaft slid all the way out of the column and now I can't use the fork to compress the shaft lock to get the lock ring back in. Help! What the heck did I do and how do I fix it? (manual trans)
