1979 Transmission question
Just had my 1979 Corvette engine rebuilt cracked heads 
The mechanic mentioned that with the gear that is in it, it runs around 2500rpm at 55mph...so definitely not a highway car. He said that if it was his he would put a 700r4 transmission in it. I respect the people in this forums opinion and wanted to ask for your Suggestions? Thoughts?

Thanks! looks to be a lot of discussion between the 700-4r and 200-4r. It does seem that most say that the 200-4r will fit my car with little to no mods and better suited to my 350 engine gear wise. Will have to keep reading, thanks for the link and suggestions!
