Arky is correct, most of the time we do eat the issue and this one has become an issue. I’m sorry this happened, we were never notified of the change in the one side tie rod end, and would never dream of selling and/or misrepresenting the suspension kits. Were we snookered! I don’t think so; the supplier was caught off guard on this just as we were.

All the kit parts were made by Moog, Dana or Federal Mogal.

In talking to our supplier, I think I have an understanding of what happened. The tie rod ends were being made by Dana (Federal Mogal), in Okalahoma City. Dana decided for whatever reason to supersede the right hand tie rod end with one they were sourcing… of which we now know is BAW… The issue is that no one noticed the change because the part came in the same packaging under the same part number ES323R.

This change happened to the right hand threaded tie rod ends on February 11th 2014 and we going to contact the customers affected by this. If you received a suspension kit from us, the two right hand threaded tie rod ends will be replaced.

What I also found out today was the same thing happened to the ES323L ends about a year ago (Again, I had no clue) but it was instantly fixed. Arkyvette I believe your tie rod end in the picture is the left hand threaded end so please check this and if you want a left hand threaded pair I will send them to you. Please contact me at Support@willcoxcorvette.com.

Once the right hand threaded tie rod end is corrected, the kits will be available again.

Regards,

Ernie

That makes sense as I got mine a year ago and they are the LH threaded ones that are BAW. Gotta love when the supplier of the supplier changes something and makes the suitable sub decision for you. Happens to aircraft parts just the same! Thanks for the explanation and making it right!

I'm happy to say that this issue is fixed...

The new right hand ends are back home to the states... Federal Mogul has agreed to use the same end they are making the left from and cut the threads for the right hand ends in Oak City, OK..

All affected customers should have received their replacement tie rod ens over a week ago and the links for the kits have been turned back on. I thank you for your patience.

I was going to say the same thing. Once made aware they are making it right. US parts, US Customer Service.

IMHO My experience has been that MOOG is the way to go and is what I generally ask for.
