ok, I give.... how do you route the fuel hose from the supply line to the pump. the steel fuel line that runs from the tank to the front of the car is new and I have a new pump. I just cant get the hose that connects the 2 to go on without kinking. I am wondering if the inlet to the pump is pointed wrong, or maybe there is some kind of trick to doing it properly. oh it is a 1974 l48 350 cubic inch car.
The inlet to the pump points directly at the corner where the engine mount stand attaches to the frame. I am thinking that it should point towards the front of the car, but I don't know and I don't have the original pump anymore. I have tried several ways to route the hose but it will either be to close to the steering components, or it will kink on me.
I cant find my copy of the aim. but I have looked it up on google. The diagrams that I can find, don't really give you a good idea of where the pump inlet points to. so I cant figure this one out. can someone shed a little light on this for me?
There is a special hose that you need that already has an "S" shape. If you use a piece of regular hose it will kink for sure. Any of the supporting vendors will have it.
