20 454's for $2500 (UPDATE)
Sidenote......I noticed some were concerned about the salt water on the blocks. Need not worry these are all fresh water boats, brackish at the most. I really hope for all of our sakes that I can work this deal out for you guys.
I'll keep you posted.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
"Heads and cams are set up for a completly different torque curve. A marine engine must develop most of its torque on the low end of throttle range. This allows for the ability to use a single gear transmition system. Think of it this way:
You get in your car
Start it up
Drive to the highway
Put your foot to the floor and hold it there for an hour
Its a little different, well for most of us.
Although we have only briefly touched on some of the differences between an automotive and marine application; hopefully, it will serve to remind us that there is a difference, and that the reasons for these differences need to be shared with our customers and friends in the boating community. Hopefully, when shared, this information can eliminate some of the "blank stares" in regards to parts, and maybe prevent some dangerious situations. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, help is just an e-mail away.

I saw Denney wanted one too. If there are a few of us in the MD/VA/DC area maybe we can arrange a group shipping deal. or maybe we'll just have one of us drive down and pick 'em up and share the costs.
And only fair would be to compensate Corey for his present efforts and forth coming work

1. constant high rpm (6,000-7,000).
2. intake air that for one reason or the other tends to be very dirty.
But should be a contained cooling setup. (radiator)
502 engine are a better application, they are basically made especially for marine use and hold up 5 times longer than 454.
There is a chance here that these engines are completely shot, no useable parts.

A few have posted there apprehension on using a motor with a marine history and rightfully so. It's a tough environment for a motor and it's setup differently for torque and high end HP, so that needs to be taken into consideration. With that said I'm still in, anyone with second thoughts can remove their name. There have been 40 motors requested for on the 20 motors Corey68 originaly posted about.
