What is the difference between 1 7/8" with 3" collector vs. 2" with 3" collector?
1 7/8 new are $550
2" new are $229
What are the performance differences, I hear the more air flow the better for a bbc

Depends on the heads, camshaft, and compression. Unless you are creating some very serious horsepower, the 2 inch pipes may hurt your low end torque a little. Probably not much on the street with the torque of a BBC. Of course, if you are running big inches, as in a 454 or larger, then the big pipes are probably OK.

Here is my setup
454 - 4 spd
Peanut heads ( which I plan to change to 049's or 781's)
Edelbrock performer 2-0 dual plane
750 Holley
Not sure if there has been any can work
1st- I plan to get the exhaust done in the next couple if weeks, then going to work on the head situation.
