I have a 68 427 that has the alt, power steering on the dr side. I am adding AC to the pass side. The pulleys all line up except the radiator hose rubs the belt from the crank to the compressor. It's about 3/8 off to miss the radiator hose coming off the short water pump. I thought about spacers behind the crank and water pump pulleys but that would probably throw off the alt and power steering pump. Does anyone have ideas. See pic
Try swiveling the compressor up higher as long as it doesn't hit the hood or you can get a metal tube and oval it so it will lay closer to the frame and connect the rad hose on each side.
I recently did the same to my 68 big block. The A/C compressor belt does not go around the crankshaft pulley. It is only around the water pump and A/C compressor. The AIM has a good illustration of belt routing.

I was going to route it from the water pump to the compressor, but I thought it would be too much to have the other belt run from the crank to the power steering pump to the water pump. Maybe I am over thinking it.

Just looked at the AIM manual. I need a triple grove water pump pulley.
Does anyone know where I can get a triple groove bbc short water pump pulley for a reasonable price? I found one on corvette central for 215 and thought that was too pricey.
