o.k. i know only people who own or have owned a fastback c-3 are reading this ;) so let me get your input. i enjoy driving with the t-tops off but the wind buffeting gets to me at highway speeds. seems like the early sharks with the removable rear window was the trick, since you can just remove the glass and it's almost like a convertible with a roll hoop. even the '73-'77s seemed to have small vents on the rear deck which, i believe, were to relieve some of the pressure inside the cabin when cruising with the windows down and tops off. i'm sure many of you have seen the gizmo they sell for the c-4 and c-5 to prop the hatch up when cruising. so where is the solution for our cars? when i get on the freeway in mine, i have to roll up the windows and i feel like a big dork. feels like the wind is just whipping around (maybe through?) my head like a tornado. anybody done anything to fix this?
Re: fastback owners: do you get wind buffeting? (Wightnite)
Wightnite you must not be driving fast enough  .
I know what your describing, if you pass a big vehicle going the opposite way it feels like someone slapping the back of your head. I've seen the "Windjammer" it mounts on top of windshield frame, but don't remember reading any feedback here. If your lucky enough to have the opening rear window just cracking that open relieves the wind pressure, according to C4 guys. I guess it's just a subtle sign to slow down :p:

wightnite, i really doubt that! if your shorter than me (5'4") how can you see over the dash? like scott said, you need to hit the gas pedal (if your tall enough to reach it!)
Re: fastback owners: do you get wind buffeting? (clutchdust)
Wind buffeting - yes :yesnod: Any solutions :nonod: nope - Anybody with the wind jammer? I would expect that could reduce it - but alot of that buffeting is coming through the sides - which is why when you roll up the windows its not as bad.
Re: fastback owners: do you get wind buffeting? (clutchdust)
I've experienced some of the "truck going by turbulence"... but what is really weird is when your feet are burning up from engine heat... and your ears are freezing from having the T-Tops off.
Just part of the fun of driving these cars!!

I drive with the windows half open and the visors up.
Works pretty well.
