Default 68 427 Clutch

I am bringing this old C3 back to life after it has sat for 20 + years. The clutch is slipping pretty bad on take off but once you get going it will engage. IS the old clutch and flywheel rusted over or what? Will it burn off or do I need to replace it? If I need to replace it what clutch will hold 450 HP?

427`s use a 11 inch clutch, and available in almost every auto parts store....the better way is to buy the packaged set with all the necessary clutch parts....At the same time take the flywheel with you and have it resurfaced.....and most early BB clutches { 427 } use a coarse spline disc...ALL Vettes use the short bearing if the question arises...

have fun,,,,,
