PCV Valve
I have a '71 with a 383cid. I did not like the way that the hose bent going to the PCV valve. The valve is for that year car. The hose pushed straight down on it. I wanted one that connected to the side. A 45degree angle. When I was in the parts store I look through the filter book. The first year vette that used that type pcv valve was a '74. My question is are all pcv valves the same, as long as it was for an 350cid. Thanks Ray.

My stock PCV is also the straight on type, but my car now has the right angle type. It's an improvement for the reason you mention and does exactly the same function. :cheers:

I am also curious as to if it the pcv rating is some how related to, or should be adjusted for, the engines own vacuum rating? ie If your engine pulls 18 at idle should it have the same pcv as one the only pulls 8?
