Default 1980 Fuel sending unit - help please

Does anyone know where the fuel sending unit is located on a 1980 corvette and how do I change it? Thanks to all

the smart man will use a blanket or a fender cover to protect the body and paint on the area between the fuel door and the rear of vehicle so when you are removing the sender you don't spill fuel on your paint

Thank you so much. I truly appreciate the help.
